How to Remove Candle Wax from Carpet

Removing candle wax from carpet is not always easy, but it is not impossible as well. With patience and some diligence, wax can be successfully removed from any type of carpet. 1. The easiest way to remove wax is to tackle it when it is solid. Put a few ice cubes into a plastic bag and place the bag over the spilled wax to harden it. Once the wax is hardened enough to break it up, use a spoon to scrape as much of the wax out of the carpet as possible.

3. If there is still any wax left into the carpet fibers, use rubbing alcohol to remove it. The alcohol will help to remove the dye in the stain as well. Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a clean white cloth and gently rub the spot until all of the wax comes out of the carpet. Once the wax is completely removed, rinse the area with plain water, blot up the excess moisture, and let the carpet air dry completely.
